07/10 I drove through more floods than I ever have today. I went to the dams, the car park was underwater. I left early so the car wouldn’t start floating away. I got my feet wet in a big stream.
08/10 I stayed inside today. We cuddled and watched tv, but we had to go to morrisons. It was dry, grey weather.
09/10 I was in a hurry this morning so I barely noticed the light rain.
10/10 The sky has a semi transparent layer of cloud today, it shows the blue of the sky and lets the sun through in places. I’ve been frantically walking between buildings, it was warm eventually.
11/10 I drove today and that was the only time I left the house. It was sunny but very cold, and the sky was a consistent powder blue.
12/10 It’s freezing out today, I shouldn’t have worn a skirt. The cold’s making my nose run and my eyes hurt. I was so upset on the bus, but only once I started to think about how I was feeling.

14/10 We were stuck outside a shopping centre because of a fire alarm. It was sunny and cold, so it was frustrating.

25/10 I saw some canal boats today, I didn’t know there were any in the city centre. I had a purple yam cake with coconut on it.
26/10 Bill came in all wet from his walk, drying his paws on our duvet. I changed the sheets, it needed doing anyway.
27/10 We drove to Falkirk again today to take care of my parents dog for the night. It was cold and we all felt uneasy being in the big house by ourselves.
28/10 We tried to fish in the canal, we caught a mussel shell. The sun was shining through the trees.
29/10 We went to the town centre int he rain for breakfast, then we came back home to Glasgow.
30/10 It’s cold and windy so I’m very tired. I want to go to the pub but I don’t think I’ve got the energy to talk to folk.
31/10 We cycled round the island a bit, only to just past the town. On the way there the wind pushed us forward but on the way back it made it difficult to move at all. We were very drained.
01/11 The rain was heavy today and my jeans got soaked. We tried to get into a cathedral but weren’t sure if we were allowed.

21/11 I came to the city centre again today. I paid £12.50 to park my car. It was so dark on the drive home.
22/11 I’m playing about with my sampling keyboard and watching Victoria Woods shows. I feel calm.
23/11 My GP appointment was cancelled. I went to the post office, the woman was a bit rude. It was cold and sunny.
24/11 I got up late, it was only a few hours before the others came home. The sun is coming through the blinds.
25/11 We went to clear up some loose ends, it was tiring and frustrating. Today is just as cold as every day this week. We came home and it was warm.
26/11 We bought frozen food, the freezer’s full now. The windows are damp so we bought some desiccant. There was a dog wearing sleeves since it was so cold.
27/11 I bought a dressing table on my way home, it’s made me feel very organised. I wanted a rolling pin but no one sells them. The ice on my car was thick this morning.
28/11 I took the bus today, it takes ages. We ordered Japanese food when I got home. The moon was big and yellow.
29/11 I got my first tattoo today. It felt like an epilator. There’s cling film all over my arm now. Their studio was so cold I was shivering the whole time.
